The Challenge

Our client, a leading engineering and services company, was contracted for the refurbishment of a major Airport’s Terminal 2. They required the manufacturing of hundreds of custom-built steel modules to support cables and pipes, with each module needing to precisely match the engineers’ CAD drawings. The complexity of the project was compounded by the frequent changes in module dimensions, necessitating a highly adaptable manufacturing process. Additionally, the project had stringent deadlines, requiring quick turnarounds while ensuring that every module met exact specifications. This posed significant challenges in terms of production coordination, quality control, and inventory management.

Crimp System Solution

To address these challenges, we proposed utilising our unique crimp system for the manufacturing process. This system was selected for its ability to ensure high precision, enabling us to build each module exactly according to the CAD drawings. The crimp system also allowed us to expedite the manufacturing process, reducing production time and lowering costs for our client without compromising on quality.

We worked closely with our client throughout the project, maintaining real-time communication to manage the frequent changes in module designs. Our flexible production scheduling allowed us to incorporate these changes efficiently, ensuring that all adjustments were reflected in the final product. Furthermore, we proactively managed our material stock levels to prevent delays and meet the project’s tight deadlines, even when last-minute changes were required.
